Rt 22 (Allentown Boulevard)
On January 3, 2013, work will
begin on the westbound bridge lanes of Rt. 22 (Allentown
Boulevard). As the work progresses, the eastbound lanes
will become one lane and the westbound traffic will be routed to
the northern lane of the eastbound lanes.
Work will continue through May
23, 2014. Your patience is requested with this bridge
replacement. Speeds need to be reduced to ensure safety of
not only the construction workers but also the other drivers
negotiating the new and changing traffic patterns.
The information above is
preliminary information. The staff at East Hanover
Township will update this information as updates are received.
Notice
Due to ongoing construction/improvements in the Township -
beginning on September 24, 2012 there will be new traffic patterns
for Manada Bottom Road as a result of the Manada Bottom Road Bridge
Construction by PennDOT

Public Works - New Building
Over the past
several years the East Hanover Township Board of Supervisors
have been evaluating the need for a new Public Works Building.
This project is as a result of the increased population and
demands for road and park maintenance in the Township. The
Township is planning to build the new building on the property
that was the original sewage treatment plant. The Township has
enlisted the professional assistance of Paul McNamee as a
consultant to help with the planning, execution and oversight of
the construction of the facility. Architectural/Engineers and
Civil Engineers have submitted RFQs and the 'short lists' for
consideration are available below. The draft master plan and
the initial floor plan are also available below. Questions
concerning the proposed can be directed to the Township Manager,
Ronald Reeder at 717-469-0833.
